Skype has now made group video calling free, for Windows tablets and the Surface range compatible to speak with up to 10 people at a time.

Back in April, Skype did bring a bucket load of changes to their services and this is following that. The new system for Windows, analyses the video experience and can tell who the three most talkative people are and the device owner at the same time and the other people will show up as they speak.

Microsoft Surface and Windows tablet owners who get bored, it is now possible to use the multitasking feature to browse the web or check Facebook, by resizing the Skype window so that it only uses a smaller section of the screen.

Group calling on Skype used to require a Premium account – but earlier in the year, at the end of April Microsoft announced that Windows, Mac and Xbox One users can use this feature for free.
