Plusnet, which is actually owned by BT has recently announced that it will subsidise fibre broadband costs for businesses, thanks to the Governments BDUK broadband voucher schemes, which aims to help small businesses.

The actual discount is a total of £120 which last one year. A standard Business Fibre package with Plusnet would usually cost £35.50 but thanks to the voucher, it will cost £25.50 per month. The scheme will be available in twenty two cites across the British Isles and a budget of £40 million has been allocated for a year from this April. The vouchers are on a first-come, first serve basis.

As a side note, or a bonus if you sign up; Plusnet have a new wireless router named the Hub Zero which is based on the new Broadcom chipset which promises to use 40% less energy than the last model.
