A few car manufacturers are jumping on the Apple Watch band wagon, BMW or instance already has an app for their electric range of cars to check the battery level and more. Now the next company is Volkswagen, its new Car-Net app is coming soon to the Apple Watch and it will feature handy statistics and information about the users car, such as the fuel or battery level. More features for safety are included such as automatic cars detection, remote vehicle access and updates on certain specifics like the condition of the brake pads. So VW is hoping that the user can be quickly informed of the statistics of the car and important information.

Cutting to the chase, the Car-Net for the Apple Watch is just a condensed version of the app for the iPhone, but the Watch is designed to have quick response actions on your wrist, so things like being able to quickly unlock and lock the car, checking to see if any windows or the sunroof were left open could be very useful.

Also, as mentioned users also have the ability to check on the fuel or battery levels of their car. The Car-Net app works with the 2014 Beetle, CC, Eos, Jetta, Passat and the Tiguan. It also works with the 2015 edition of the Golf, Golf GTI, Golf R, Golf SportWagen and all of the e-Golf models.
