Apple is now offering a heavy discount on Apple Music subsections, eligible students who apply can get 50% off the monthly cost of the music service. This was confirmed a few days ago by the company, which is now offering the discount in seven countries around the world. These plans still come with all the same functionality as the regular plans and access to all the music, Beats 1 and the Connect section.

Students wishing to benefit from this discount just need to prove to Apple that you are a currently in education at a college or university using UNiDAYS. To verify that you are a student, simply go to Settings > iTunes and App Store > View my Apple ID > Manage Subscriptions > Apple Music > Student. Then click the Verify Eligibility button then that will take you to Safari to sign into UNiDAYS.

Prices

Apple usually charges £9.99 / $9.99 / €9.99 per month for one user or £14.99 / $14.99 / €14.99 for a family up to six people using Family Sharing. With the discounts taken into account, Apple is nearly halving the cost of one months membership bringing the cost down to £4.99 / $4.99 / €4.99. Apple is allowing users to keep that price for up to four years after signing up, whereas Spotiify only allows one year before users have to pay full price.
