The original iPhone, when it was launched back in 2007 wasn’t a massive hit, but with the second and third generation Apple’s new smartphone was selling in big numbers and was a huge hit with critics, once the App Store was added.

But back went the iPhone was being developed, it went through so many internal prototypes and variations – like all electronic products do. But what we never saw was what earlier versions of the iPhone looked like while Apple engineers were designing and evolving the products.

Well now, a new photo and video of very early prototype of the interface – it bears no resemblance, apart from the charging icon to what was launched to public. Sonny Dickson who shared the leak said this was known as Acorn OS. It looks like a digital version of the iPod click wheel.
