Microsoft’s Forza franchise has been going for 12 years now and has hit a major milestone, in those years it has generated $1 billon in total sales. Forza isnt the first game of Microsoft’s to reach $1 billon – Age of Empires, Halo, Minecraft and Gears of War all reached this level in the past.
So the first Forza game was launched alongside the Xbox 360 back in 2005, which was two years before the first iPhone. Published by Turn 10 Studios, which Microsoft owns.
Forza Horizon 3
Along with the entire franchises achievement, the latest game from Turn 10 has reached a big milestone. Forza Horizon 3 has hit more than 2.5 million sales earlier today, Microsoft announced the sales figures.
Microsoft also revealed that more than 14 million people were involved within the Forza community, both on Xbox One and Windows 10 last year.
Forza Horizon also marked a big turning point for Microsoft, marking the first Forza game to support both Xbox One and Windows 10.
