Top Gear is back! The last series with Chris Evans did get off to bad start following Clarkson and co, but with Series 24 has had a lot of work to bring it back up to scratch and the trailer at the end of the page really shows justice to that.

When does the new series start?

So series 24 of Top Gear starts tonight, which Sunday 5th March 2017 at 8pm on BBC 2. Shortly after it’ll be around on BBC iPlayer for 30 days.

Also, what has changed?

Notably the presenter line up has changed around, last series (23) the head presenter was Chris Evans, shortly after the series ending he announced, via Twitter that he would leave the show due to poor ratings and he had done all he could. Also in the last year was Matt LeBlanc, Rory Reid, Chris Harris, Sabine Schmitz and Eddie Jordan.

Matt, Chris and Rory now resemble the old trio on Top Gear we are used to and Sabine and Eddie will appear as guests now and again in some segments and challenges. However the man focus of the show is the trio.

“I think it’s going to be a great series. We are all perfectionists and everyone who works on it is really pleased.”

– Matt LeBlanc

“Matt, Rory and I front the programme, but the size of the show behind the scenes is a juggernaut. It sounds so glib, but the three of us can’t do it unless everyone else is mega at their job.”

– Chris Harris

What cars will they be showing off?

These and many more…
