Pre-orders for the new iPhone X began around 12 hours ago and all models were pretty much showing as sold out, with a high lead time within around ten to fifteen minutes after going up for pre-order. the demand was unreal this year and now most of the models are showing a five to six week wait time, before they are dispatched.
The first deliveries will start arriving on November 3rd, to the lucky few who managed to order early.
Apple updated MacRumors on the iPhone X and the demand it saw today:
“We are thrilled to be taking orders for iPhone X, the future of the smartphone. We can see from the initial response, customer demand is off the charts. We’re working hard to get this revolutionary new product into the hands of every customer who wants one, as quickly as possible. We will keep accepting orders online, and iPhone X will be available at Apple retail stores on Friday, November 3 starting at 8 a.m., as well as from our carrier and retailer partners around the world.”
Apple announced the new flagship at the beginning of September, on the 12th at its big event at the Steve Jobs Theatre in Apple Park, along side the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, Apple Watch Series 3 and the Apple TV 4K.
