Top Gear is back on our screens, just has the last episode of the second season of The Grand Tour aired last week. The first episode of series 25 is scheduled to air on BBC 2 this Sunday, 25th February.

This is now the third season to be produced, following the issues with Jeremy Clarkson, one of the former hosts of the popular motoring show. Top Gear season 22 was ended part way through in summer 2015 as Clarkson was involved in a fracas with a producer. Clarkson was sacked from the BBC shortly there after, and following that Hammond and May left the BBC too. Later that year, the trio signed with Amazon Prime to produce a new show, The Grand Tour and filming was started in October 2015.

Top Gear season 23 aired in 2016, with Chris Evans, Matt LeBlanc, Chris Harris and Rory Reid – although the initial ratings weren’t great. In 2017, with season 24 the show was reimagined and better focused on LeBlanc, Harris and Rory.

When is it on TV?

Top Gear, Season 25 will be shown on BBC Two at 8pm, for those without traditional TV, BBC iPlayer will also have the show ready to stream live and then available to download or stream shortly after the show airs.
