Last year, Microsoft released the Edge browser to devices outside of the Windows platform for the first time ever, the Windows 10 specific browser was designed at the same time and for the operating system. It was designed to be optimised or Windows 10 and to be fast, but also to move on from the bad press Internet Explorer has carried with it for so long.

Last year, Microsoft Edge was related to iPhone and Android but one thing was missing, tablet support. Well today, Microsoft have updated the app to now support iPad, as well as Android tablets.

On iPad at least, nothing comes close to beating the performance of the native Safari browser, but if you are heavily invested in the Windows 10 eco-system, using Edge on your phone and tablet does bring some benefits. Microsoft Edge will sync favourites, Reading List, passwords, history and more from your PC to your other devices.
