Twitter seems to be struggling to keep apps alive lately. In the past couple of months, the macOS app for Twitter was pulled and now today the company is ending support for the clients which run on Xbox, Android TV and Roku. Going forward the company is suggesting to use the main website, twitter.com to get the best experience of Twitter.
However, unlike the macOS version of Twitter which just wasn’t updated enough – these versions are Twitter are actually bad. The main reason Twitter for Xbox is being pulled is because the feedback is dismal, the app has only 1 & 1/2 stars out of 5 on the Microsoft store and users just complain that it won’t let you tweet from the app, like or retweet anything, which simply defeats the purpose of Twitter.
On Thursday, May 24, Twitter for Roku, Twitter for Android TV and Twitter for Xbox will no longer be available. To get the full Twitter experience, visit https://t.co/fuPJa3nVky on your device or desktop.
