Late this week, following the release of iOS 11.4, tvOS 11.4 and watchOS 4.4 Apple released macOS 10.13.5 which as usual, includes a handful of bug fixes, as well as Messages in iCloud which has been much anticipated since September last year when iOS 11 was released.

Messages in iCloud

As mentioned, this feature has been much anticipated, as it has been delayed and postponed in every version of iOS 11 since it was released back in September last year. The feature was last spoken about at WWDC 2017 but was removed from the final version of iOS 11. Now, almost a year since we last saw it, Apple has now rolled out the feature to iOS and macOS.

The feature is very simple in principle, it works very much like how iCloud Photo Library does, it allows you to sync all your new and old conversations between all your Apple devices, iPads, iPhones and of course Macs. It enables deletion sync, so once you delete a message thread on your iPad, it is then removed from all your other devices.

macOS 10.13.5 is available to download now from the Mac App Store.
