Just as the final release of iOS 12 was released yesterday for iPhone and iPad, along comes a new version, for developers only at this stage. iOS 12.1 is now out for registered developers and is intended for testing compatibility between the new code in iOS and the developer’s apps.

What’s new?

Well, in the release of iOS 12 yesterday – one of the big name features wasn’t included, Group FaceTime was announced back in June at WWDC and for now it is unavailable. Group FaceTime allows Apple users to chat in one call with up to 32 other users. iOS 12.1 beta reintroduces this feature and Apple has said this should be available “later this autumn.”
