Season 3 of The Grand Tour was a relativly long one and it has been fantastic. As usual, the prodiction quality, cars and locations visited have been amazing.

But like all good things, it must come to an end. This week, on Friday 5th April the last episode of season 3 will go up on Amazon Prime. This isn’t however, the last season of the show. Back in December, rumours were floating around that season 3 woud be the last ever one.

According to Clarkson, Season 4 has been commissioned and it won’t be featuring the tent as it has since the shows launch in 2016.

Episode 13

This week though, sees the three enter Mongolia in a mini special. The boys are dropped into the desert with enough food for a few days and are told to build a car to get them out.

The Mongolia Special, Survival of the Fattest In a 90-minute special episode (penultimate for everyone asking), Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May are dropped in the vast wilderness of Mongolia and told to await a delivery which turns out to be some basic rations and all the flat-packed parts they need to assemble a vehicle in whichthey can escape to civilisation. Navigating their way out of this epic, enormous and completely people-free terrain is going to be hard enough, especially with only a few days’ worth of food and clean water to see them through, but first they’ve got to build an entire car, and one of the ‘engineers’ is the world’s most ham-fisted hammer enthusiast.
