Another week has gone by and it’s time, once again to go over the best stories we covered here on A&T Tech. This week, Jony Ive left Apple, Aston Martin announced a new limited edition ‘Concorde’ DBS Superleggera, Apple’s AirPods are selling in huge numbers, Tesla has had over 250,000 pre-orders for the new Cybertruck and in a mobile networks survey, Brazil has a better 4G video experience than the US. And finally, Disney+ is being offered for free with new Chromebook purchases.

Jony Ive has left Apple

We knew this was happening from when Apple announced it back in June, but now Jony has been removed from the company’s leadership page. Ive is off with Marc Newson to start a new design company, called LoveFrom. Jony Ive had been with Apple for around thirty years.

Bloomberg reported last week that AirPods could hit 60 million shipments by the end of 2019 and another source has said that the new AirPods Pro have been so popular that Apple has had to double production.

Tesla unveiled its new Cybertruck pickup truck last week and earlier this week Elon Musk revealed via Twitter that 250,000 have been pre-ordered so far.

In a very limited run, of 10 examples – British Airways and Aston Martin have teamed up to create the DBS Superleggera Concorde Edition. No price information has been revealed.

Opensignal survey finds Brazil have a better 4G video experience than the US

Opensignal ran a survey over the past few months to figure out what countries have the best mobile experience for video use over 4G. They determined that the US hadn’t improved all that much since the last time they ran the survey and that Brazil is now rated as good for 4G video use.
