Another week has gone by and it’s time, once again to go over the best stories we covered here on A&T Tech.

In the news this week, Tesla’s valuation hit the $100 billion mark, the Mac turned 36, Disney has said Disney+ will launch earlier than expect in some of Europe and the UK, Ford has said the S-Max and Galaxy MPVs will stay in the line up but with new hybrid models in 2021 and the UK Government is investing more into EV infrastructure.

The first Mac from 1984 turned 36 this week

Pretty big milestone for the first Mac, it was one of the first devices to being the user interface concept of a mouse with point and click to the masses. At the time, Steve Jobs was only a chairman of the board.

Disney+ will launching the UK earlier than expected

Disney+ has already been available in the US for a number of months, and the UK launch date was supposed to on the 31st but this week Disney has announced that the release date has been bought forward by a week to the 24th March.

Ford has invested heavily in a new battery plant in Valencia, Spain and as a result Ford’s existing S-Max and Galaxy MPVs will go hybrid in 2021

UK Government doubles funding for new EV infrastructure

The UK government is investing £10 million into new electric car infrastructure and the DfT has said the money will support the installation of 3,600 charge points  and make sure that the “postcode plays no part in how easy it is to use an electric car.”
