Another week has gone by and it’s time, once again to go over the best stories we covered here on A&T Tech.
In the news this week, TLC announced that the production of BlackBerry phones will end this summer, Volkswagen has put the new Mk8 Golf up for order, Google Maps turned fifteen, Microsoft had an outage which took out the search on Windows 10 and Nintendo announced it has shifted over 52 million Switch units.

Google Maps is now fifteen years old
Google Maps is now fifteen years old and its come a very long way in that time, to now where millions rely on it to get round day to day. Google also updated the logo for the iOS and Android app.
Volkswagen has now opened the order books for the new Mk8 Golf
The brand new eighth generation Golf was previewed back in October and now in the UK at least, the new car has been opened up for order. Only two trim levels are available at the moment, with more to come in a few months.
BlackBerry phones will stop being manufactured this summer
TLC, who currently own the licensing rights to manufacture BlackBerry phones have said this week that production will end in August this year
Windows 10 search went down this week, due to Bing having issues
Microsoft had a couple of outages this week, Microsoft Teams was down for a few hours on Monday, then the built in search in Windows 10 was down on Wednesday, this was due to some Office 365 and Bing seeing latency issues because a “third-party networking fiber provider” had an outage.
Nintendo has sold over 52 million Switch consoles to date
Nintendo announced its Q4 earnings this week and it sold 10.81 million Nintendo Switch units over the holidays, which is now a total of 52.48 million since the Switch was introduced.
