Instagram users have been asking and begging Instagram to make a version of the app for the iPad for the past, nearly ten years. Instagram is also, one of the most downloaded App Store apps ever. Parent company Facebook has an iPad version of Facebook, Pages, Messenger and the Ad manager and WhatsApp might be coming to iPad at some stage.

Instagram has still not budged on offering an iPad version, with the reason basically being they don’t have enough staff to do this. Chris Welch from The Verge tweeted the news today.

“We would like to build an iPad app, but we only have so many people, and lots to do, and it hasn’t bubbled up as the next best thing to do yet.”

If you do really need Instagram on your iPad, then the web version can suffice but at the moment, it doesn’t support DMs – but it is coming soon as Instagram is testing it.
