Last week, Apple launched a new repair program for the most recent generation of the iPad Air, the third generation which was launched last year.

Apparently a small amount of iPad Air devices manufactured between March 2019 and October 2019 had an issue where the screen would just go blank, but it would be a permeant issue. Apple hasn’t expanded on what the issue may be and what causes it, but it is likely just a component issue and any iPad Air units manufactured after October 2019 don’t have the issue.

Apple has opened up the repair program, and users with the issue can take the affected device to an offical Apple Store, Authorized Service Provider or if you contact Apple Support you can post it in to get it replaced.
