On Friday last week, Apple announced that for this year the annual WWDC developers conference will take place online only, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Usually at WWDC a few thousand devolpers from all around the world spend a few hours together in one huge room for the Keynote on the Monday morning and then spend all week talking to Apple engineers and with the ongoing coronavirus issues, it makes sense – like other events have to cancel the physical conference and make it online only.

The current health situation has required that we create a new WWDC 2020 format that delivers a full program with an online keynote and sessions, offering a great learning experience for our entire developer community, all around the world. WWDC 2020 will take place sometime in June, with no dates revealed yet. Like in the physical event, there will be a keynote streamed where Apple is expected to show off iOS 14, macOS 10.16, iPadOS 14, tvOS 14 and watchOS 7. Stay tuned to A&T Tech for all the latest in June.
Apple has long had a WWDC app for Apple TV, iPad and iPhone and this will still be the place to go for the training sessions, news and anything WWDC related.
