Today, Apple has launched the brand new fourth generation iPad Pro, which has a new camera, updated A12Z Bionic chip and much more. But also alongside the new iPad – Apple announced the new Magic Keyboard cover/stand which will work with the third generation iPad Pro as well as this new one.

One of the major changes is now the addition of a trackpad and also, finally – iPadOS will get much better support for a cursor. The new Magic Keyboard cover won’t be launching until May, but the new version of iPadOS will be launching next week, on the 24th March.

The new update is not just for the new hardware, all iPad models which can run iPadOS will get the much improved cursor and mouse support, once you update to iPadOS 13.4. This means all iPad Pro models, iPad Air 2 or later, fifth generation iPad or later and the iPad mini 4 or later.

You’ll be able to use any third party mouse via USB or Bluetooth to an iPad or use a Magic Mouse 2 or Magic Trackpad 2.
