Another week has gone by and its time, once again to go over the best stories we covered here on A&T Tech. We know everything is feeling weird right now, so we are working hard to cover the latest news for everyone and this is a nice round up of the week gone by of what stories we think were the best.
In the news week, the new iPhone SE was launched on Wednesday, the government is extending the consultation period for the combustion engine ban, overall PC shipments are down, Apple is now donating all proceeds from (PRODUCT)RED to the COVID-19 pandemic and the new OnePlus 8 Pro was launched.
Apple launches the new iPhone SE
This week, the new 2020 iPhone SE was launched, £419 for the same CPU as the iPhone 11, 12MP camera, wireless charging, same body as the iPhone 8 and Touch ID.
Apple is now donating all (PRODUCT)RED funds to help the COVID-19 pandemic
This week, along with the release of the new iPhone SE – Apple has changed where the proceeds go to for the (PRODUCT)RED products Apple produces – to now direct the money to help assist the COVID-19 Response.
UK government has extended the consultation period for the combustion engine ban
The original date was the end of May, but due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, this has now been extended to the 31st July 2020.
Due to COVID-19 – Overall PC shipments are down
Even with the short burst of demand for laptops with a lot of people working from home, overall shipments are down.
