This week, Land Rover has updated the Range Rover Evoque and the Land Rover Discovery Sport with a new hybrid engine choice as well as improved infotainment to bring it up to date with the new Defender. The new engine is a 2.0-litre four cylinder diesel with a mild-hybrid add on, which is 48V.

The new engine comes in two versions, the D165 with 161bhp and the D200 with 201bhp, the D165 can be paired with front wheel drive or four wheel drive with manual or an automatic gearbox. The D200 is only available in automatic and four wheel drive. The Discovery Sport gets an exclusive P290 petrol engine, a four cylinder with 286bhp. This only comes with an automatic gearbox.

When the new Land Rover Defender launched recently, it came with the brand new Pivi Pro infotainment system which offers over the air updates and has support for Spotify.

Both new cars can be ordered from today, the Evoque starts at £32,100 and the Discovery Sport starts at £31,915.
