Amazon is working towards making delivering its goods more environmentally friendly and one good way to do that is remove combustion based delivery vehicles. Enter the new all electric delivery van from Amazon, built with Rivian – a company best known for their upcoming electric pickup and SUV. The new van doesn’t actually have a name that we could find from Amazon, weirdly.

“Amazon is excited to reveal its first custom electric delivery vehicle, designed and built in partnership with Rivian.”

The front end of the new van looks very similar to the new Honda E, the all electric hatch back, with the curved gloss black front end and round headlights. Inside there are levels of shelving with doors and up front a large screen which displays a 360 degree view around the van as well as support from Alexa.

Amazon is planning on having 10,000 electric vehicles for delivery in service by 2022. Just last month, Amazon added 1,800 electric vans to its fleet here in Europe from Mercedes.
