Yesterday, Apple announced the new iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro and has a result the lineup now means the iPhone 11 Pro has been discontinued leaving the iPhone 11 and iPhone XR as the two older models. The iPhone SE has the same SoC as the iPhone 11 and was introduced earlier this year and sits at the entry level price of £399 / $399.

Apple has also chose to keep the iPhone XR and iPhone 11 around too, the XR was launched in 2018 alongside the iPhone XS and would be an odd choice to purchase considering its age now. iPhone XR is £499 / $499 and the iPhone 11 is £599 / $599 meaning only a £100 / $100 jump from iPhone 11 to iPhone 12 mini.

The new iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro are going to be available for pre-order this coming Friday (16th October) and the smaller iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max will go up for pre-order next month, on 6th November.
