Apple revealed macOS Big Sur back in June at this years WWDC, we haven’t had any concrete time for the release of the new OS yet which is expected as if Apple is going to have a separate Mac based event in November like the rumours suggest, then releasing macOS Big Sur at the same time makes sense.

With the design of macOS Big Sur, Apple has taken some cues and inspiration from iPadOS and iOS with a new redesigned collection of icons, iOS-like control centre and much more. Apple has used more translucency in the dock, menu bar and within the apps themselves – which harks back to the days of OS X with Aqua in 2001. Everything has been rounded too, UI elements, windows and the dock too.

Today, Apple has released the beta of 11.0.1 to developers already which replaces the macOS 11.0 build which was released to developers a few weeks ago.
