BMW has announced the prices and more details about the new upcoming iX all electric SUV. The car will have up to 373 miles of range on the top spec version with dual motors, 100kWH battery and up to 500bhp.
BMW is launching the iX with a brand new version of iDrive, with a 12.3-inch drivers display and a much larger 14.9-inch display for infotainment. The main screen is touchscreen, but BMW has retained the puck to control the UI like older iDrive systems.
The BMW iX will start at £69,000 in the UK with the xDrive40 model, which will have a 70kW battery, 249 miles of range and 300bhp. The top spec xDrive50 has the larger 100kWh battery pack, 500bhp and a range of 373 miles.
the iX xDrive50 supports fast charging at 200kW, which will charge it up from 10% to 80% in 40 minutes.
The xDrive40 model will be priced at £69,000 and the xDrive50 doesn’t actually have an official price yet, but it could be around £80,000 to £90,000. Sales will start later this year.
