Earlier today, Tesla has quietly updated its configuration page for the upcoming Cybertruck, with a new delayed release date. When Tesla announced it back art the end of 2019, the company said that by the end of 2021 it would be released, it even had around 250,000 pre-orders in a matter of weeks. However, as revealed today and picked up by Electrek, the Cybertruck will now come out in 2022.

Tesla’s configuration page now says “production nears in 2022” with the dual and tri-motor models being prioritised over the single motor ones. Prices start at $39,900 in the US.

The Cybertruck has a steel body, which is very unique for any type of vehicle, the company now has the Semi and the Roadster pencilled in for a 2022 release.
