This week, Twitter announced a new feature that is rolling out to users soon called ‘Unmentioning’. Pretty much it is what it sounds like, it’ll allow you to remove yourself from a conversation that you have been @mentioned in. You might want to remove yourself because you are getting too many notifications, someone has tagged you by accident or more.
Sometimes you want to see yourself out.

If you have been @mentioned in a conversation and want to remove yourself, simply go to the mentions tab within the Twitter app and press “Leave this conversation”. The same can also be achieved by going to a tweet you have been mentioned in, press the three dots and select “Leave this conversation”.
Once you leave a conversation, there is no way to rejoin or undo this action. This feature started rolling out to users on Twitter for iOS earlier this week.
