iOS and iPadOS 14.4.2 released with fixes for security exploit

Today Apple has released a security patch for iOS and iPadOS with 14.4.2 as well as 12.5.2 for older devices. The update fixes a vulnerability and the update can be installed as usual under Settings > General > Software Update Release Notes Impact: Processing maliciously crafted web content may lead to universal cross site scripting. Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been actively exploited.

WhatsApp ends support for iOS 9
